50% of your Midterm grade is:
1. Create your account, join the RHHS-Cecil-Photo 2/3 Group, join the Photography 2 or Photography 3 county group, add me as a friend.
2. Create an Artist Statement Page
3. Create a Breadth Page (with at least 10 of your best edited, final images)
4. If AP: Create a Concentration Page (Photo 2 needs 6 images, Photo 3 needs 9 images)

PART ONE: The Work
1. You meet someone in an elevator, you start talking about high school and she asks what is your favorite class, naturally you begin talking about photo. The person asks what your photographs are about. Before she gets out on her floor, what do you say to her in a few sentences that clearly states the concepts and themes you are exploring?
2. Select one specific piece, one you really care about, created during this past semester that you want to tell this person about. Reflecting on that work, answer the following questions:
a. Describe the photo.
b. Did you discover anything in the process of shooting, printing, making this work that caused you to revise, redirect, or improve the piece? If so, explain what happened and how it altered your process
c. What do you think is the work’s greatest strength?
PART TWO: The Process

a. What does it mean to be a photographer?
2. What is your greatest source of inspiration when creating artwork? (what gets you excited about taking more pictures?)

1. Imagine, in your elevator conversation, you were describing your experience in RHHS photo classes. What would you tell her about:

1. The person asks how you talk about your work in class, or what critique format (formal with group, informal with peer, individual with instructor, other . . . ) have you generally found most helpful, what do you tell her?
2. Briefly describe your biggest artistic breakthrough (any semester, any class, any art work), and explain why you feel it was so significant.
3. What are you most excited about in terms of making images (at this point in time); what is now most important to you as a photographer?
