When you are logged into a computer you will need to save your work only to your folder in the dock. In this folder make a folder for each assignment, where you will save your scanned negatives at 300 resolution and at least 7 X 4. Within this folder make another one called Mahara. For each file resize it to 72 resolution and at least 7 X 4 and then choose File>Save As in order to save a copy (otherwise you will lose your original). This smaller version you will upload to Mahara to a page you create called Breadth and then choose one for each assignment to upload to the appropriate Group Page. If you get stuck look at the scanning directions HERE.
You have created a Flickr account by this point and explored its world of photography, our next journey is to Mahara. No, it is not some mystical land, or character from the Lion King. Mahara is an online digital portfolio that you will create and continue to use both as a repository for your artwork as well as a place to share your work with peers, teachers, and colleges.
Follow the directions to create your account HERE. Download the contract and have it signed HERE. To aid in your shooting for light check out the set I created on Flickr, "Light - 2012." If you click on Actions at the top of the page and then view Exif info you can see the shutter speed and aperture the photo was taken at. Download the shooting assignment HERE.
